Jacob Samuels, Coach

Jacob Samuels is a Woodstock, GA native who discovered his passion for lacrosse later than most—picking up a stick for the first time during his sophomore year of high school after growing up playing baseball and football. It didn’t take long for the sport to take hold, ultimately earning him a scholarship to play at Reinhardt University in Waleska, GA.
During his decorated collegiate career, Jacob became a 3x NAIA National Champion, 4x AAC Champion, 1x SELC Champion, 2x National All-Tournament Team selection, and 2x team captain. He capped off his playing career by earning First Team All-American honors in 2019.
After college, Jacob transitioned into coaching and has made a strong impact at both the club and high school levels. He has coached with several successful programs including Kings Elite, Thunder Lacrosse, and the Atlanta Lacrosse Club—where he helped lead a short but undefeated summer season. He also spent four years as the JV Head Coach at Lassiter High School, contributing to the success of one of Georgia’s top high school programs. Most recently, he served as the Defensive Coordinator for the Reinhardt University Men’s Lacrosse team for the 2024 season.
Coach Samuels is passionate about the game and committed to giving back by mentoring the next generation of players. He’s excited to bring his energy, experience, and love for the game to the Dirty Birds Lacrosse family.
