Zach Afalla, Coach
Zach Afalla joined the Dirty Birds coaching staff in 2025, returning to the program that helped shape him as a player and a person. A proud Filipino-American and Dirty Birds alumni, Zach graduated from North Cobb High School where he was a four-year varsity starter. During his time at North Cobb, he helped lead the program to its first-ever Elite Eight appearance in the GHSA State Playoffs and played a key role in securing the program's first home playoff game. Zach made history as North Cobb's first-ever Division I lacrosse commit and is currently continuing his collegiate career at the Division II level at Tusculum University, where he is a freshman. Coaching alongside his continued development as a player, Zach brings the mindset of a current competitor to the Dirty Birds sideline and is passionate about helping the next generation of players grow both on and off the field.
