Dirty Birds Lacrosse Coach - Hunter Coleman

Hunter Coleman, a native of Woodstock, GA, is a 2021 graduate of Etowah High School, where he was a four-year letterman on the men’s lacrosse team. As a Faceoff Specialist, he graduated with an impressive 68% career faceoff win percentage. During his time at Etowah, he earned All-County honors in 2019 and 2021, was named Second Team All-State in 2021, and was selected as his team’s Most Valuable Player during his senior season.

Hunter currently plays collegiate lacrosse at the University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH), where he is the starting Faceoff Specialist. His standout performance as a freshman earned him Peach Belt Conference Freshman of the Year honors, a nomination for UAH Freshman Athlete of the Year, and back-to-back First Team All-Conference selections. He finished his first collegiate season with a .622 faceoff win percentage, ranking first in the conference for faceoff wins and third for ground balls. He also holds UAH’s all-time records for career ground balls and faceoff wins.

Passionate about player development, Hunter has been involved in coaching for several years, working with young athletes and providing faceoff instruction, including mentoring his younger brother. He is currently pursuing a degree in exercise science at UAH and looks forward to bringing his experience and enthusiasm to the Dirty Birds program.
