Zach Pinson, Coach
Zach Pinson joined the Dirty Birds coaching staff in 2024, bringing one of the most decorated playing resumes of any coach in the program. A Woodstock High School alum and two-year captain, Zach earned All-County honors during his playing career before going on to Reinhardt University — where he became a five-time NAIA National Champion (four as a player, one as a Graduate Assistant Coach), a four-year starter, a two-year captain, and a four-time All-Conference selection. He was honored as the NAIA Champion of Character — an award voted on by opposing coaches — recognizing both his on-field excellence and his integrity off it. During his time at Reinhardt, the program compiled an outstanding 80-4 record, including an undefeated senior season. Academically, Zach matched his on-field success by graduating Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA before earning his MBA in Business Communications. Currently serving as the Varsity Defensive Coordinator at Etowah High School, Zach brings a championship mindset and elite defensive expertise to both his high school program and his work with Dirty Birds. When he is not coaching, he works in tech sales.
