Dirty Birds Lacrosse Coach - Jacob Nichols

Jacob Nichols joined the Dirty Birds coaching staff in 2024, bringing with him a proven ability to build and elevate programs from the ground up. A graduate of Newnan High School, Jacob played defense at Columbus State University before transitioning into coaching. His impact as a head coach has been immediate and undeniable — upon taking over The Walker School Boys Varsity Lacrosse program, he inherited a team with a combined 3-30 record over the previous three seasons. In his first year, he led Walker to an 11-6 record — the best in school history — and their first region championship. Since then, he has helped grow the Walker lacrosse program to the largest it has ever been in school history, building something that extends well beyond the win column. Coach Nichols is passionate about building winning cultures through discipline, development, and a relentless commitment to improvement, and he brings that same mindset to his work with Dirty Birds.
