Joshua Shackelford is a proud Cherokee County native and graduate of Woodstock High School, where he was a standout three-sport varsity athlete. He currently attends Reinhardt University, where he plays collegiate lacrosse and is on a pre-law academic track with plans to attend law school.

Josh has been an integral part of Reinhardt’s success on the field, including contributing to the team’s 2021-2022 national championship run. Now in his senior year, he serves as a team captain, a testament to his leadership and commitment to the program. He’s currently focused on helping guide Reinhardt to its sixth national title.

Outside of lacrosse, Josh is an avid runner training for the Boston Marathon and enjoys reading in his downtime. He’s excited to join the Dirty Birds coaching staff and looks forward to mentoring the next generation of players both on and off the field.
